NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Prosecutors have launched an investigation after a man was found dead Wednesday morning in the bathroom of the New Jersey State Police station in Bellmawr.
An unresponsive man was found in a restroom within the station's public lobby and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Authorities have not identified the man.
The incident happened after the NJSP troopers responded to a car accident report on Nov. 7, at around 11:05 p.m. involving the man who was found dead.
The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and the case was processed at Bellmawr Station.
He was released from custody but experienced a medical emergency in the lobby restroom, where he was found unconscious.
Despite attempts by emergency medical teams to revive him, he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
