NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A homeless man jumped from a balcony at Trump Tower in a bid to escape police, who were trying to escort him out of the building, authorities said.

The man plunged from an interior, second-floor balcony of Donald Trump’s eponymous Midtown skyscraper around 4:20 p.m., according to police.

He was injured in the fall and taken by EMS to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.

Describing the man as "crazy," a source told the Daily News he’d caused a disturbance and was being led out by police when he suddenly vaulted over a railing and plummeted 30 feet to the lobby below.

Trump was in town Thursday for the annual Al Smith Charity Dinner at the New York Hilton Midtown. He reportedly arrived at Trump Tower about an hour after the man jumped off the balcony.
