NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One man was killed and another was injured in a double shooting near a Newark park Sunday night, authorities said.
Siddiq Amin Hooper, 44, and another man were shot around 6:30 p.m. in the area of South Munn Avenue and Plymouth Street, next to Vailsburg Park, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.
Hooper was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was in stable condition at an area hospital, prosecutors said.
No arrests have been made at this time.
