EAST NORTHPORT, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — The search is on for a suspect who allegedly broke into an auto repair shop on Long Island last month, making off with a safe full of New York State inspection stickers.
The incident happened back on Nov. 22 around 1:30 a.m. at Atlantis Auto Repair on Jericho Turnpike in East Northport.
The suspect broke into the shop and then stole a safe containing about 75 inspection stickers, Newsday reported.
Police released a surveillance image of the suspect wearing a hood and mask, leaving little of his face exposed at the time of the crime.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
