NEW ORLEANS (1010 WINS) — Hurricane Zeta made landfall as a category 2 Hurricane in southeastern Louisiana, the National Hurricane Center announced around 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. local time).
In New Orleans, which is in the storm's path, there was a pump system failure that has flood risks.
It's been a rough hurricane season for New Orleans: It's been in the warning areas of seven previous storm that veered east or west. This time, however, the city may not be as lucky.
“I don’t think we’re going to be as lucky with this one,” city emergency director Collin Arnold said.
