The recall, issued for over 475,000 cars, involves the rear-view camera of the Tesla Model 3 and the front trunk latches on the Tesla Model S.

It’s a staggering number, since the company delivered an only slightly higher number of vehicles throughout 2020, according to its annual report.

The Model 3 recall affects models made between 2017 and 2020, involving a cable that could break due to wear, and could ultimately stop the camera feed from working properly.

The 2014-2021 Model S recall is substantially smaller, but still affects over 100,000 cars. It was made due to faulty latches potentially causing the hood to open.

According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, the company was not aware of any crashes related to the recall issues.

A NHTSA investigation recently led to Tesla disallowing drivers from being able to play video games on dashboard screens while cars were in motion.
