NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- United Airlines lifted a brief nationwide ground stoppage Tuesday afternoon that was blamed on an "equipment outage," the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The pause was put in place around 1 p.m. and was lifted shortly before 2 p.m. after the issue was resolved.

More than 200 flights were reportedly delayed as a result of the issue.

United Airlines told 1010 WINS in a statement: "We have identified a fix for the technology issue and flights have resumed. We’re working with impacted customers to help them reach their destinations as soon as possible."
