TRENTON, N.J. ( 1010 WINS) -- New Jersey reported more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases for the third day in a row on Tuesday, Gov. Phil Murphy said.
A total of 1,036 COVID-19 test results in New Jersey came back positive on Monday, bringing the state's cumulative case total to 222,193, Murphy tweeted.
The state reported 1,192 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, 1,282 on Sunday and 958 on Saturday.
New Jersey on Tuesday also reported 13 new COVID-19 fatalities, bringing its death toll to 14,438.
As of Monday, 781 people in the state were hospitalized with confirmed or probable COVID-19 cases, 169 of whom were in intensive care and 69 of whom were on ventilators.
