JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey chiropractor is facing backlash after a patient discovered a sign outside his office that referred to COVID-19 as the "Chinese virus."

According to a Facebook post by Annesia Paraison on Tuesday, she saw the sign when she brought her daughter to the office of Dr. Kevin Julian.

"This afternoon I took my daughter for an initial visit at a local chiropractor here in Jersey City. We were a bit skeptical when we approached as the building looked run down and there wasn't any identifying information besides the building number. Anyway, we walk inside and as I'm signing my daughter in, she points to the sign on the front desk window. The sign clearly reads "During this time period of the Chinese Virus...," Paraison wrote on Facebook.

"THIS IS BLATANT RACISM." Paraison added. "My daughter did not have to think about it, she was ready to leave and of course I supported this."

Others that read the were apparently outraged as well, even calling for Julian's license to be taken away.

"Time to revoke his license," Sheila Porada commented.
