WEST NEW YORK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A couple was arrested after about $100,000 in cocaine and cash was recovered during a raid of a New Jersey apartment following a months-long narcotics investigation, authorities said Tuesday.

Rowaldi Caceres, 39, and his wife, Hilda Membreno, 29, were charged with possession with the intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense, money laundering, endangering the welfare of a child and other drugs and weapons offenses, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Additionally, Caceres was charged with possessing firearm parts without a serial number, another count of endangering the welfare of a child, and other weapons offenses, prosecutors said.

On Feb. 26, a narcotics task force executed a court-authorized search warrant of an apartment located at 6200 Hudson St. in West New York where Caceres and Membreno resided.

Officials recovered more than one kilogram of cocaine, with the street value of approximately $35,000, a handgun, three large capacity magazines and approximately $30,000 in suspected proceeds from drug sales.

Caceres and Membreno were arrested at the scene.

The task force recovered a handgun with hollow point bullets during a court-authorized search of Caceres’ car the following day.

More than two kilograms of cocaine were seized during the course of the investigation, Suarez said.
