NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) —Police are investigating the death of an 82-year-old man found on a sidewalk with severe burn wounds in Millburn, New Jersey, on Friday.
On Oct. 13, police received a report about an unresponsive man on a sidewalk on the 100 block of E. Willow Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said on Saturday.
Police identified the man as Shigeru Takeuchi, 82, of Union, New Jersey.
Taekuchi was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death is currently unknown as investigators wait for the results of an autopsy.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
