NJ man accused of sexually assaulting sleeping woman: prosecutor

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 27-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman as she slept at a Somerset County home last year, the county prosecutor's office announced Tuesday.

According to the victim, she fell asleep after drinking alcohol at the Franklin Township home and awoke in a bedroom to find Antonio Galindo-Salaza on top of her, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said.

The woman reported the June 2022 incident the same day the alleged crime occurred, and an investigation was launched, the prosecutor's office said.

Salazar was arrested on Jan. 25 and charged with second-degree sexual assault.

He is being held at the Somerset County jail pending a detention hearing.
