NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Manchester Township man was arrested Friday after allegedly going on a violent rampage that involved a carjacking, running down multiple pedestrians and a hate crime stabbing attack on an Orthodox Jewish man.

Police say Dion Marsh, 27, started his crime spree at around 1:15 p.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Pine Street in Lakewood by assaulting the driver of a 2016 Toyota Camry and stealing the car.
At around 6 p.m., police received reports that a car struck a pedestrian by Central Avenue and Carlton Avenue. They later determined the crimes were connected.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he’s in stable condition.
Less than an hour later at 6:55 p.m., Marsh stabbed an Orthodox Jewish man in the chest near Pine Circle Drive and New Egypt Road, authorities say.
He was also taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he’s in critical but stable condition.
At 8:20 p.m., Marsh struck another pedestrian — this time near Galassi Court, according to police.
Like the others, that victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He is in critical but stable condition.
“Our investigation reveals that these criminal acts were committed throughout the day yesterday into the early evening and that Marsh was acting alone and not in concert with anyone else,” said Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer in a press release.
The Anti-Defamation League claimed Marsh made anti-Semitic remarks while police arrested him.
“I am personally horrified at the cruelty with which the suspect allegedly conducted himself,” said ADL NY/NJ Regional Director Scott Richman. “More needs to be done proactively to prevent violence against the Jewish community, and in particular visibly identifiable Jews in Ocean County and across our region.”
Marsh faces charges for attempted murder, weapons possession and bias intimidation.
