NJ man charged for sexually assaulting young girl: prosecutor

WEST NEW YORK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 20-year-old West New York man has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl between the ages of 12 and 14, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Wednesday.

Noe Ventura-Amaya was arrested on Tuesday by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit for multiple assaults that occurred on multiple dates in 2021 and 2022, Suarez said.

The prosecutor said that Ventura-Amaya and the victim are known to one another.

Ventura-Amaya is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by contact, third-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, third-degree aggravated assault and several endangerment crimes.

He was arrested at his home and taken to the Hudson County jail pending his first court appearance. The state has filed a detention motion, which is tentatively scheduled for Monday.
