WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A 46-year-old man was charged with killing his ex-girlfriend in New Jersey earlier this week, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
At around 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, officials were responding to a a welfare check request at a Paul Street residence in Woodbridge when April Duncza, 39, was found with serious head trauma.
Duncza was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her ex-boyfriend, Kevin Bacon, 46, of Keansburg, was identified as a suspect, after an investigation determined Bacon had a previous relationship with Duncza and the alleged crime was not random, the Prosecutor's Office said.
Bacon was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 30, and charged with one count of first-degree murder.
He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a Pre-Trial detention hearing.
