NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – A New Jersey man was struck by a car on Thursday night in Pompton Lakes, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The victim, Daniel Schneider, a 69-year-old pedestrian from Bloomingdale, was hit by a car at around 8 p.m. near Ringwood Avenue and Carr Street, police said.
Schneider was taken to the St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he died due to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke to police.
This investigation is ongoing.
