
TEANECK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A US Postal Service postmaster was arrested Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting an employee at a New Jersey post office, prosecutors said.
Gabriel Ekram Pagabe Ali, 47, was charged with deprivation of rights under color of law and assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers of employees.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 26, 2022, Ali sexually assaulted the victim, a female city carrier assistant while on duty as a Postmaster at the US Post Office in Teaneck.
Ali allegedly groped her breast and buttocks without her consent, authorities said.
If convicted, Ali faces a maximum penalty of three years in prison for the civil rights count and eight years in prison for the assault count.
