NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police arrested an upstate New York landlord last week for allegedly trying to get a potential tenant to pose for nude photos to get a better chance of renting an apartment, police said.

The State Police of Granville  went to a home in Whitehall, New York, after receiving a report of a dispute about John E. Daly Jr., 58.

Police found that Daly Jr. allegedly had tried to push Keri Chew, a potential tenant, to pose for revealing photographs in return for a better position on the waiting list for an apartment in Dresden, according to a report reviewed by The Post Star.

Daly Jr. was charged with third-degree coercion on Nov 1.

"Daly then told me that if I wanted to be moved to the front of the list and move in today, he 'expected' me to get naked and allow him to take pictures of me,” stated Chew in the report to the New York State Police.

Following his arrest, Daly Jr. was processed at the State Police station in Granville.

He was later arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.
