ELIZABETH, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- A pedestrian died after being struck by multiple vehicles late Thursday while attempting to cross a street in New Jersey, authorities said Friday.
At about 11:30 p.m., the victim crossing in the vicinity of Spring Street and North Avenue in Elizabeth when she was struck, according to city officials.
Police did not release the victim's name or age.
The drivers believed to have struck the pedestrian remained on the scene and cooperated with police, an Elizabeth spokeswoman said.
The crash remains under investigation, the spokeswoman added.
