JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A person of interest is in custody as New Jersey officials investigate a home invasion and sexual assault that occurred on Sunday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Thursday.
Just before 7 p.m., police was notified of a home invasion at a residence on McAdoo Avenue in Jersey City.
Upon arrival, responding officers located a female victim who reported an unknown man entered her residence through a window before physically and sexually assaulting her.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of multiple injuries.
An investigation remains ongoing.
