Philadelphia man accused of gunning down man in Trenton: prosecutors

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Philadelphia man has been charged with gunning down a man in Trenton on Christmas Eve, police said.

Fausto Adalberto-Rodriguez allegedly shot Junior Rodriguez in the head inside a second-floor apartment in the 200 block of Walnut Avenue, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office told NJ.com.

Adalberto-Rodriguez, 45, came to the apartment around 7 p.m. looking for his ex-girlfriend, prosecutors said. After a brief altercation, he hit her in the head with a handgun, shot Rodriguez and fled the apartment in his vehicle.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead shortly after he was taken to the hospital. The ex-girlfriend's condition wasn't immediately known.

Adalberto-Rodriguez was charged with murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses, officials said.
