GREENWICH, Conn. (WCBS 880) -- A truck overturned and spilled a load of compost onto the Connecticut Turnpike on Tuesday morning.

Photos from Tom Kaminski on Chopper 880 show the compost truck on its side near rotting fruits and veggies in the northbound lanes of the turnpike, near Exit 5 in Greenwich, just before 7 a.m.
It's unclear if the driver was injured in the crash.
Traffic was backed up for at least a mile after 7 a.m., with only the two left lanes getting by as the overturned truck blocked the right lane and an entrance lane.
