NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released a photo on Wednesday of a man who has "accosted" residents six times over the past several months at an apartment complex in New Jersey.
The South Brunswick Police Department is searching for the suspect who has exposed himself and masturbated in front of at least six people during these incidents.
The incidents started in July, with the suspect appearing naked, except for sandals and either a hood or a black ski mask, at the Royal Oaks & East Garden Apartment Homes in South Brunswick, cops said. Police described the man as about 6 feet tall with either dreadlocks or braided hair.
The most recent encounter was on Tuesday around 4:30 p.m.
While the suspect has not made physical contact with any of the victims, police said his previous incidents occurred late at night, between 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., under the cover of darkness.
Police believe there may be more victims who haven't come forward. "We are asking residents in the area to check their Ring doorbell cameras for any footage from yesterday afternoon," a police spokesperson said. "Based on the images we've seen, we believe the suspect may frequent local gyms, and we're asking area gyms to review the images we're releasing."
All the incidents took place off Henderson Road, between Route 1 and Blackhorse Lane.
Anyone with information or surveillance footage is asked to contact South Brunswick police Detective Sgt. Timothy Hoover at 732-329-4000, extension 7496.
