Trump indicted, charged with 4 counts in election interference

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Former President Donald Trump has been indicted in connection by Special Counsel Jack Smith in connection to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Trump was indicted on four counts in election interference:

- conspiracy to defraud the United States
-conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding
-obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding
-conspiracy against rights

Trump's team told ABC News that they received a call from Jack Smith's office informing them of the indictment.

Trump has been summoned to appear before a federal magistrate judge Thursday in Washington.
