NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Donald Trump has named three White House aides to be members of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council, including Rudy Giuliani's son Andrew and Trump's "body man," who is a former actor.
"It is my honor to serve on the board of the US Holocaust Memorial Council," Giuliani, 34, who serves as a special assistant to Trump, tweeted. "At a time when religious freedom is increasingly threatened and anti-Semitism is on the rise, we must always remember the atrocities of the Holocaust and teach our children that government should never impede our individual right to practice religion.”
The two other individuals named to the five-year voluntary posts are Mitchell Webber, a lawyer in the Office of the White House Counsel, and Nick Luna, Trump’s "body man,” or personal attendant.
The council governs and funds the Holocaust museum on the National Mall. The 55 members chosen by the president typically have an interest in Jewish affairs or human rights. Council members are expected to fundraise for the museum.
Webber is the only Jewish person of the three. He has written about Jewish issues in the past.
Luna is a former actor who appeared in films including "Sammy and Sherlock Can’t Get Any." His LinkedIn page says he trained in comedy.
