WEST NEW YORK N.J. (1010 WINS) — A United States Post Office worker from West New York was arrested Wednesday as part of a months-long drug dealing investigation, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

James Belardo, 41, was charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

The USPS employee is the third person arrested as part of a West New York drug ring, according to officials.

The prosecutor’s office did not specify his alleged role in the drug dealing operation or whether he used his job at the post office for dealing.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force arrested Rowaldi Caceres, 39, and Hilda Membreno, 29, during a Feb. 26 raid on their apartment.

During the raid, law enforcement found more than a kilogram of cocaine and about $30,000 cash.

Belardo’s first court appearance is scheduled for March 29.
