NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage on Friday of a man accused of scamming an 85-year-old woman out of $70,000 in the Bronx last month.
It happened at about 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, in the vicinity of Henry Hudson Parkway West and West 231st Street in the Spuyten Duyvil neighborhood, authorities said.
According to officials, the woman received a phone call from an unidentified individual who deceived her into paying $70,000.
The suspect met with the victim, obtained payment and fled on foot to parts unknown.
