COMMACK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A woman was killed and her two brothers were injured when a minivan plowed into them while jogging Thursday morning, Suffolk County police said.
At about 8:30 a.m., Ilona Kaydanov, 22, Dennis Kaydanov, 20, and Joseph Kaydanov, 13, were jogging when they were struck by a 2022 Chrysler Voyager on Harned Road and Donna Court in Commack.
Ilona Kaydanov was medevacked to South Shore University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Her brothers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene, according to police, who didn't immediately say if charges had been filed.
Her two passengers were not injured.
The Chrysler was impounded for safety reasons.
Harned Road remained closed between New Highway and Cutchogue Lane as police continued to investigate.
