NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A four-alarm fire tore through several buildings in Long Beach on Wednesday, authorities said.
The fire broke out at Sorrento’s Italian Specialties on Park Avenue early Wednesday morning, Long Beach’s fire department said.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by late Wednesday morning, but not before it tore through several adjoining buildings, the department said.
No injuries were immediately reported, but Newsday reported that Sorrento’s building may have to be demolished.
It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the blaze. An investigation is ongoing.
