
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Long Island officials arrested an underage boy for a knifepoint robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon.
At about at 2:00 p.m., officers responded to Turtle Hook Middle School located at 975 Jerusalem Ave. in Uniondale for a robbery that occurred on the soccer field.
The defendant approached a 13-year-old boy and displayed a knife placing him in fear for his safety, authorities said.
The boy then forcibly took the victim’s sweatshirt and fled the scene.
A short time later, officers located and arrested him without incident.
The boy is charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds and menacing. He will be arraigned on Friday.
