Masany Cruz, 29, was last seen alive on Sept. 14, a day before authorities said William Cruz, 31, fled their Colorado Springs home.

Her disappearance was the subject of a missing person case in New Jersey, with Sag Harbor Police receiving a report she might be at the Sag Harbor Inn.

However, Colorado police later found Masany dead inside their Colorado home.

A manhunt for the suspect led detectives to pursue numerous leads and collect evidence, state police said.

Police said the investigation later determined William Cruz fled the state and arrived on Long Island on Sept. 18.

He was soon tracked down at the Sag Harbor Inn and arrested by Sag Harbor.

News 12 reports William Cruz pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder Thursday.

A GoFundMe described Masany as "a social butterfly" with a "big heart."

"It is tragic that she was taken from us too soon," organizer Diana Fuentes said. "She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend."
