NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday afternoon responded to the findings of New York Attorney General Letitia James' investigation that he indeed sexually harassed multiple women.

"I want you to know directly from me that I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances," Cuomo said. "I am 63 years old. I've lived my entire adult life in public view. That is just not who I am, and that's not who I have ever been."

"The facts are much different than what has been portrayed," he said. "I never touched anyone inappropriately."

Although Cuomo admitted to asking his former aide, accuser Charlotte Bennett, questions he "doesn't normally ask people" — including her dating life, he said he was "truly and deeply sorry" for bringing up his personal life, but alleged Bennett attributed comments he didn't say.

Bennett alleged Cuomo asked her inappropriate questions about her history as a sexual assault survivor and asked her details of her experience, the report found. Cuomo also reportedly told Bennett he was “lonely” and “wanted to be touched.”

She later tweeted Tuesday that she "wants accountability" and urged Democratic State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie to impeach him.

Cuomo's attorney Rita Glavin later responded to each allegation found in James' investigation.

Earlier in the day, New York Attorney General Letitia James said, "The independent investigation has concluded that Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and in doing so violated federal and state law."
