MONSEY, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 2-year-old girl was killed after she was struck by a minivan in Rockland County on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Just after 3 p.m., officers responded to Calvert Drive in Kaser for a reported vehicle that had struck a child. Upon arrival, police discovered that a 2-year-old child was struck by a 2014 Honda Odyssey and had sustained life-threatening injuries.
The girl was rushed to Nyack Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The 21-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained on the scene, police said.
There are no criminal charges at this time.
The Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the incident.
