SMITHTOWN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating after a group attacked three men with a baseball bat on Long Island Sunday morning.
According to police, at around 4:25 a.m., the men were walking in a parking lot on West Main Street in Smithtown when a car stopped and seven men exited the vehicle and began attacking the victims with a bat.
One of the victims was able to gain control of the bat and broke one of the vehicle's windows, police said.
The group of attackers got back into their car and fled.
The investigation is ongoing.
