NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin will appear at two expensive campaign fundraisers, one with former President Mike Pence and the other at former President Donald Trump's exclusive Mar-a-Lago resort.

Zeldin, a 42-year-old congressman who is facing an uphill battle to win statewide office, is scheduled to appear at a dinner thrown by Long Island Republicans Matthew and Kerri Beth Bruderman on Feb. 23 in the village of Centre Island in Nassau County with Pence as a special guest.
According to The New York Post, which obtained a copy of the invitation, tickets for the dinner cost $25,000 per guest.
A Long Island native and a New York Republican Party favorite, Zeldin will also pay a visit to Trump's Palm Beach golf club for a 5:30 p.m. April 1 fundraiser. Tickets for that event cost $25,000 per couple.
However, the Post reports that it's not clear yet if Trump will appear.
Zeldin raised $4.3 million between July 2021 and January 2022, according to the most recent state Board of Elections filing, and his campaign has $5.6 million in cash on hand.
Other high-profile GOP contenders Zeldin is battling for the nomination include Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and Rob Astorino, the former Westchester County Executive who was the GOP nominee for governor in 2014.
