NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 26-year-old man motorcyclist died when he collided with a driver in a Mercedes Benz Thursday night, police said Friday.
The Mercedes Benz driver was traveling south on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, a mile south of Route 25A in Rocky Point, around 8:50 p.m. on Thursday when he collided with 26-year-old Chanchu Kim, who was riding north on a 1988 Kawasaki motorcycle, Suffolk County police said.
Kim, who lived in Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The 25-year-old Mercedes Benz driver wasn't injured, according to police.
The department didn't immediately provide any additional details about the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
