
N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County Crime officials are looking to identify a man who shot a teen attempting to sell him a pair of Air Jordan sneakers via Snapchat earlier this year.
It happened at approximately 3 p.m. on January 29 when the teen attempting to sell a pair of Air Jordan Black Cat sneakers via Snapchat met the suspect outside his home, authorities said.
The teen left the shoes in the house when he came outside to meet the suspect.
The man then displayed a handgun and demanded the teen bring the shoes outside.
The teen ran into his house and closed the door and the man then fired a shot through the door, striking the teen in his thigh, detective said.
The man fled in a silver SUV.
The teen was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
