NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are investigating a crash on Long Island on Sunday afternoon that left a motorcyclist seriously injured, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
According to police, the driver of a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading northbound on Joshuas Path, near Stonehenge Lane, when he attempted to make a right-hand turn into a parking lot.
At around 3:02 p.m., a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle, attempting to go around the Jeep, collided with the car.
The motorcyclist was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries.
The driver was not injured in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
