NEW CASSEL, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Detectives on long Island are investigating after a man was repeatedly shot to death on Sunday night, authorities said.
Just before 8:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the vicinity of 166 State Street in New Cassel.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 26-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
