Man, 60, punched in face inside LI Walgreens, attacker sought

BALDWIN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of punching a man inside a Long Island Walgreens in June, authorities said Thursday.

It happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, a 60-year-old man was standing in line at the Walgreens pharmacy located at 1968 Grand Avenue in Baldwin.

According to police, the suspect approached the victim from behind and punched him in the face.

The suspect then entered a black four-door sedan and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
