HOLBROOK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on Long Island Sunday evening.
At approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man on the Coates Avenue a in Holbrook.
An ambulance transported the victim, whose name is being withheld pending identification of next of kin, to Long Island Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities believe he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
