NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are investigating after a man was shot near the Long Beach LIRR station on Thursday night, authorities said.
The victim who's age is unknown, was shot just before 8 p.m. near West Park Avenue, officials said.
He was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
The gunman was taken into custody, PIX11 reported.
The shooting prompted a partial suspension of the Long Beach Branch of the LIRR between Long Beach and Island Park.
