NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo should resign if investigators find evidence confirming the sexual harassment allegations he is facing, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday.

In an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday morning, Pelosi said she had “zero tolerance for the behavior that is alleged against the governor.”

“Again, I think he is a supporter of zero tolerance, in terms of sexual harassment,” she said. “So it would follow that if you have zero tolerance, then that would, again, be a decision that we hope the governor would make.”

“People have to unlearn some bad behavior in order to learn how we should go forward,” she added. “And again, if these allegations are proven to be true, then zero tolerance would follow that the governor should not continue.”

Pelosi’s remarks echoed comments Biden made in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday.

“If the investigation confirms the claims of the women, should [Cuomo] resign?” Stephanopoulos asked Biden.

“Yes,” the president responded. “I think he’ll probably end up being prosecuted, too.”

Cuomo, who received his COVID-19 vaccine on camera at an event in Harlem Wednesday morning, has apologized for any remarks he made in the past that made women “uncomfortable,” but has repeatedly denied touching anyone “inappropriately.”

He has also repeatedly said he will not resign.
