FARMINGVILLE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials on Friday released surveillance footage of a vehicle involved in the hit-and-run death of a 56-year-old man struck by two cars on Long Island, Suffolk County police said.
Alberto Perea Vazquez was crossing Horseblock Road at Raymond Avenue in Farmingville at about 6 p.m. on Sunday when he was struck by an unknown vehicle in the intersection, authorities said.
According to officials, the driver of the vehicle kept driving after striking Vazquez.
As the victim was lying in the roadway, a second driver in a Subaru Impreza also struck Vazquez, police said.
The Subaru spun out of control and crashed into a fire hydrant, a tree and a parked Hyundai Tucson.
The driver of the Hyundai was inside of the parked car, police said.
Responding officials pronounced Vazquez dead at the scene.
The drivers of the Subaru and the Hyundai were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
