VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials arrested a woman for trying to headbutt a Long Island store window then biting an officer while being taken into custody on Tuesday night.
According to detectives, officers responded to 24/7 Mart located at 52 W. Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream for a disturbance involving an intoxicated woman.
Upon police arrival, officers observed Christine Rogers, 35, acting erratically.
Rogers refused to comply with officers’ orders and attempted to slam her head against the store
As officers were placing Rogers onto an ambulance stretcher, she bit one of the officers on the forearm and was placed under arrest.
Rogers and the officer were both transported to local hospitals for treatment and evaluation.
No other injuries were reported.
