UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a woman they said stabbed a Long Island 7-Eleven worker during a robbery Sunday afternoon.
According to detectives, the suspect walked into the 7-Eleven located at 644 Jerusalem Ave. in Uniondale and began removing items from the store's shelves.
When a 38-year-old employee approached the suspect and offered assistance, she stabbed him several times before fleeing the store southbound on Uniondale Avenue, without paying for the merchandise.
The employee victim suffered injuries to his right hand and left arm and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
