Long Island thief on the run with $25K in Walmart jewels

MIDDLE ISLAND, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A thief made off with $25,000 in jewels from a Walmart on Long Island, police said Thursday.

The jewelry was stolen from a locked case at the Walmart on Middle County Road in Middle Island on the night of Nov. 5, according to Suffolk County police.

An image of the suspect was released Thursday.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers may offer a cash reward for info that leads to an arrest, police said.
