NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Halloween will be bone-chilling across much of the New York City area, but rain should mostly hold off Tuesday evening for trick-or-treaters and costumed revelers at the 50th Village Halloween Parade.

After a cool, damp and dreary start to the workweek, Tuesday will see a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day with a high of 52 degrees, according to AccuWeather.

Temps will dip into the mid-to-upper 40s by the time ghouls and goblins hit the streets in the evening.

Dampness will eventually move in from the south later in the evening before steadier rain rolls through the area. The low will be 42 in the city and the upper 30s in many suburbs.

Revelers headed to the 50th annual Village Halloween Parade may want to pack an umbrella and a sweatshirt as it will likely start raining by midnight. The parade festivities are set to begin at 7 p.m. at Canal Street and Sixth Avenue and move up Sixth Avenue to West 15th Street. This year's theme is "Upside/Down : Inside/OUT!"

Wednesday will be a breezy and cold start to November. Some rain may linger into the morning ahead of a chilly day with variably cloudy skies and a shower in the afternoon. The high will be 49, but RealFeels will be in the 30s.

Highs will only be 51 on Thursday but will rise to 60 by Friday and into the low-to-mid 60s for an unseasonably mild weekend.
