NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – It’s downright bloodcurdling!
Thursday will be one of the hottest Halloweens on record for New York City, with highs set to approach 81 degrees in the afternoon, according to AccuWeather.
That’s ghoulishly close to the record for Halloween in Central Park: 81 degrees, set back on Oct. 31, 1946.

By comparison, highs in the city usually top out around 60 in late October.
Thursday will otherwise be mostly sunny and breezy, and it’s expected to remain warm and dry for trick or treating in the evening. In fact, the low overnight will be a comfortable 68.

It'll also be clear out for the 51st Village Halloween Parade, which begins at 7 p.m. Costumed revelers will head up Sixth Avenue between Canal and 15th streets. This year's theme is "Meow!" to "celebrate the inner Cat Lady in everyone." The grand marshal is Tony-winning actor André De Shields.
There may be a spotty shower early Friday morning before clouds give way to sun for the first day of November. The high will be 77.

However, it will turn much cooler Friday night—and by Saturday the high will only be 59, despite plenty of sunshine.
It’ll feel very much like fall on Sunday and Monday, with highs around 58 both days and increasingly cloudy skies.
But the warmth returns yet again for Election Day on Tuesday, with a high around 70 and dry conditions in the forecast.
