NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York City will have a clear view of the famous Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show as the forecast calls for a sunny, beautiful Independence Day leading into an increasingly warm holiday weekend.
Sunshine and low humidity is expected on July 4th, with temperatures topping off at 84, AccuWeather said. It will be clear during the evening as the fireworks burst in the sky over the Brooklyn Bridge, and spectators should be comfortable as temperatures remain in the upper 70s.

The 49th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m., about one after sunset, and will be returning to the East River after a brief stint on the Hudson last year. Ticketed viewing areas are open for entry from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
1010 WINS is the official radio station of the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks and the only place to hear the live musical score as you watch in person.
“After yesterday’s showers and storms expect ideal conditions for your holiday! Clear skies with dry conditions and highs in the low to middle 80s are expected for the entire area,” the National Weather Service said after Thursday night's storms.

Saturday will be a bit warmer with a high of 85. sunshine and some clouds, though still not humid, AccuWeather said. Sunday’s temperature continues to climb to a high of 89, and will be somewhat more humid with a good deal of sunshine.
The return-to-work week is expected to kick off with higher heat and humidity on Monday, with a chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm after the high peaks at 88.
